Weekend Snapshots:

  1. Donning a citrus-print scarf
  2. Smitten with last week’s purchases, but especially fond of the brass giraffe for my office
  3. Date night at Graze
  4. Ending our meal with fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies – they came sprinkled with sea salt (definitely trying that at home)
  5. A splash of sequins
  6. And sparkly shoes

Remember Stella McCartney’s citrus print? Well, retailers this year are getting their own dose of Vitamin C. Rachael of Rachael, Really (the latest blog on my must-read list) let me know about Aldo’s citrus design. There are a handful of bags with the print, but my favorite item is the scarf at just $25. (I’m now expecting my own to arrive in 3 to 6 business days.)

Of course, you can always treat yourself to the trend in the form of a McCartney-print cake…

Kate Spade purse

Our second 60-degree day definitely means it’s time to bring out the spring accessories.

I instinctively reach for muted black and grey ensembles in the winter. Not exactly the most optimistic color scheme – or the most fun to wear. My sartorial mood shifted after purchasing this cheerful scarf last weekend at the J.Crew Factory Store. Things are looking much brighter for spring.

{ Sartorial Summary: Shoes – Kate Spade; Scarf – J.Crew Factory; Necklace – J.Crew (this rose quartz version was purchased last year, but I noticed the Factory Store now has one with plastic “stones”) }

For You…

A cozy sweater with an oversize fit is my fall and winter go-to. This one comes in six colors.

For Home…

I recently purchased these brass coasters, and they’re going to get even better with age as they develop a patina. They’re a great holiday gift or housewarming present.
