We’ve been toying with the idea of going to Europe next fall, which has me searching for and pinning all sorts of travel-related images. Our short list of possible destinations includes Belgium, Istanbul and Prague, but this image of snowy Paris has me yearning to go to France.

1. ASOS earrings, $44.50 // 2. J.Crew sweater, $98 // 3. Essie nail polish in Parka Perfect, $8.50 // 4. Repetto flats, $285 // 5. ASOS ring, $14 // 6. Bauble Bar ring, $32 // 7. Tibi pants, $214

Serene layers of blue, silver and cream unify a look inspired by the pool, but textures and patterns keep it from being boring. Of course, a couple of gorgeous rings doesn’t hurt. They’re from The Bradford Exchange, a resource for collectibles with a lovely selection of gems. (I’d stack the rings on my index finger to keep the look modern.)

I purchased this quirky banana-print top moments after featuring it in last week’s "Color Crush." It’s scheduled to ship at the beginning of June, but I’m already dreaming of ways to wear it that are inspired by colorful Palm Beach.

Shop It: Anya Hindmarch clutch* // Julie Vos earrings // Reiss sandals // J.Crew top // Gerard Yosca necklace // J.Crew shorts

*I’ve said it before, but eBay is a stellar source for vintage straw clutches. This one is similar to the clutch I found earlier this year

1 Dress, 2 Ways | The Wedding Guest

Between the wedding venues, dresses, cake samples and late-night Pinterest inspiration, nuptials are certainly stressful for the bride-to-be. But once invitations start landing in mailboxes, the stress is passed along to friends who are now standing in front of their closets wondering what to wear.

Buying a new frock for each event isn’t realistic for most of us. It’s a much more modern - and fiscally responsible - approach to choose one beautiful, versatile dress. I’m fond of this brocade stunner from J.Crew that goes from destination wedding to formal affair with ease.

For the beach: Pair the dress with a raffia clutch (you could splurge on the Anya Hindmarch version or go with a ultra-affordable vintage one on eBay), a bold boho necklace and flat metallic sandals

For a formal affair: Refined shapes in punchy colors keep your look for being too stuffy. Try a pair of pumps in a matching color, introduce a contrasting color with your clutch, and top it off with dainty earrings and a cocktail ring

Candy hearts seemed too obvious for this week’s “Inspire It | Wear It,” so I opted for a more traditional way to ring in tomorrow’s lovey dovey holiday: a bouquet of artfully arranged flowers

Shop It: C. Wonder earrings // Kate Spade purse // J.Crew sweater // Madewell flats // Gucci shorts

Affixing letter decals to a vintage mirror is an elegant way to display the evening’s bar menu. A dash of green garland and red cocktails serve as the inspiration for a festive ensemble in traditional Christmas colors.

Shop It: Erickson Beamon necklace // J.Crew sweater // Tibi pants // Zara glasses // Kate Spade shoes // Crislu earrings

Four things contribute to a satisfying holiday season: gatherings of loved ones, gobs of glittery ornaments, glasses filled with holiday spirits, and, of course, a fabulous frock is a must! The new-to-me site, MissesDressy, has cocktail dresses in every shape and sequin color imaginable (and prom dresses to suggest to the younger ladies this spring).

I’m one click away from ordering those glamorous cocktail picks. They’ll look divine on the bar cart I have yet to acquire.

If you’re updating your winter wardrobe with just one item this year, try a classic felt coat with leather sleeves (either real or faux). It adds just the right amount of irreverence to go from work to weekend with ease. Better yet, you don’t have to invest a paycheck to try it out. The version from the Buffalo Jeans clothing store (left) is only $158.

I’ve always been one to add cocktail gems to a daytime ensemble, but this gal takes night-turned-day dressing to a new and inspiring level. The key to pulling this off is starting with the flounciest skirt you own , then tone it down with a casual sweater.

(I’ll also be the first to admit that my choices aren’t the most wallet-friendly, but I’m sure there will be less expensive alternatives when we get closer to winter. Just use this as your inspiration board.)

Shop It: A.P.C. sweater // Chloe skirt // Club Monaco bracelet // J.Crew shoes
