Scooped up a pair of floral shorts. Went to Milwaukee for an overnight getaway. Visited the Milwaukee Brewing Company. Giggled my way through Mindy Kaling’s book. Adored a surprise bouquet of daisies from Dave. Wore this necklace a lot. Pulled out a few springtime accessories.

Treated myself to a bouquet of tulips (my favorite flower). Indulged in the prettiest Lilly Pulitzer dress (seen here). Rediscovered an old JewelMint necklace. Spent a sick day curled up with Bacon. Welcomed this Wendy Mink necklace into my wardrobe (c/o). Tried a new brewery town. Sipped a refreshing cocktail on St. Patrick’s Day instead of drinking green beer. Couldn’t believe my luck when I found a coveted coat on eBay (seen here). Wore just a hint of mint.   

Visited friends in the Twin Cities and stopped by the Fulton Brewing Company. Splurged on a Lulu Frost necklace. Tried a recipe that makes just two chocolate chip cookies. Wore a chipper nautical scarf from Lilac Bijoux (c/o). Played dress up in that Lilly Pulitzer dress before taking it to the tailor. Layered delicate bracelets with a masculine watch. Went overboard with my favorite lip color (Revlon Lip Butter in “Sweet Tart”). Spent a snowy day admiring jewelry from Julie Vos (c/o). Ate a lot of Easter candy.

Packed an overnight bag and Hunter wellies for a weekend at Dave’s parents’ cabin in central Wisconsin. Wore colorful earrings. Weeded through my shoes and donated a dozen pairs (these were the keepers). Purchased a floral scarf for spring. Adorned my wrist with my grandma’s bracelet. Snacked on way too many conversation hearts. Slipped on a pair of pastel heels.

Splurged on a pair of Ferragamo flats. Spent a Friday afternoon dining and drinking in downtown Madison. Enjoyed the city’s best Neapolitan pizza. Surprised Dave with strawberry muffins on Valentine’s Day. Adored the cupcakes he brought home that evening with the sweetest card. Unintentionally bought his and hers striped sweaters. Spoiled by pretty gems from Julie Vos. Tried a new restaurant.

Toasted the new year with a quiet night at home. Started reading The Casual Vacancy. Enjoyed one day of springlike weather before the mercury dropped. Couldn’t resist conversation hearts. Wore a pair of amethyst earrings from Wendy Mink Jewelry. Brought out the brass pineapples. Adored a new pair of Stella Valle earrings and Estee Lauder nail polish. Upgraded our dresser drawers with new brass pulls. Purchased lobster-print pajama pants.

Wore a pink tourmaline bracelet from Julie Vos. Perked up my wardrobe with this orange necklace. Evaluated my spring wardrobe. Rewarded a successful Costco trip with a beer. Helped a friend pick out paint colors. Scored a copy of Things We Love. Wore that blue nail polish everyday since purchasing it. Dined out for Madison Restaurant Week. And, of course, snuggled with the cutest cat ever.

January: Enjoyed Madison’s Restaurant Week. Purchased a blue scarf that’s still one of my favorites. Displayed the brass pineapple Dave bought me for Christmas 2011.

February: Wore a lot of coral-colored items. Celebrated Valentine’s Day. Splurged on a weekly bouquet of tulips.

March: Went to Fort Lauderdale. Collected shells at Blowing Rocks Preserve in Jupiter, Florida. Lounged beachside. 

April: Wore sparkly shoes for date nights. Had the most wonderful lavender cocktail in Milwaukee. Said goodbye to my childhood home.

May: Went out for cocktails after the farmers’ market. Enjoyed a bouquet of birthday flowers. Visited Louisville, Kentucky (and fell in love with the south).

June: Rode on a carousel. Loved this image on a downtown food truck. Went to the carnival in search of cotton candy.

July: Spent the afternoon on a friend’s boat. Shared a drink. Enjoyed four fireworks displays.

August: Celebrated my cousin’s marriage. Stopped in Lake Geneva for an impromptu afternoon escape. Dipped my toes in the pool.

September: Purchased a pair of glittery loafers. Admired fall color. Cheered for the Badgers. 

October: Reveled in fall decor. Watched the leaves fall. Masqueraded as Holly Golightly for Halloween.

November: Traveled to Washington, D.C. Spent a week at the nation’s capital. Sipped seasonal beverages.  

December: Picked out our Christmas tree. Decked the halls. Wished you a happy holiday.
