Rhinestone ribbons loop around to create this stunning cocktail ring from Chloe + Isabel. New Year’s Eve is fast approaching (can you believe it?) and your champagne toast will be much more dazzling with this ring atop your finger.
(View comments)The holidays are the perfect excuse to pile on the baubles (also my M.O. for the Christmas tree) and purchase new gems. I try to stick to a single new standout piece each season, but I’m easily tempted along the way - especially when it comes to affordable ways to upgrade a look. Alilang is a must-visit resource for jewelry that won’t blow your December budget.
Shopping at Alilang can be a little overwhelming; there are a lot of options to choose from. The time it takes to sift through everything is worthwhile, though. I’m very happy with the quality of the items Alilang sent over for me to try (above). Unlike some other ultra-affordable retailers, the rhinestones are secure and the pieces are free of that telltale metallic smell of a cheap piece. Of the items I tried, the crystal cluster necklace is my favorite. It’s versatile and looks more expensive than $25.
Have you tried anything from Alilang? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

P.S. Head over to La vie…J’aime today to see what I’d like to find in my stocking!
(View comments)This month, I’m loving:
- Serious sparkle in the form of these covetable earrings (definitely saving my pennies for this one)
- Making - and eating! - dozens of sugar cookies (find the snowflake cutters here)
- Sending holiday greetings
- Kate Spade’s newest pattern: Birds Over Arches
- Cocktails crafted with Royal Rose simple syrup
- Woodsy cocktail picks
- Cozy colorful sweaters (a must have in Wisconsin)
Instead of a predictable holiday palette of red and green, try a something unexpected. Perhaps a vibrant mix of orange and silver glitter?
For Home: CB2 orange pillow; Blissliving sequin pillow
For You: Reiss shoes
And the winner is… Congratulations to Taima R. on winning a pair of Daniel Green slippers! If you didn’t win, don’t fret! There are 12 days of holiday giveaways lined up for after Thanksgiving.

Splurge: J.Crew, $118

(View comments)Every now and then a pair of shoes come along that are too perfect to pass up, like these Kate Spade “Cora” loafers. The sparkles are irresistibly feminine, but the conservative shape keep the shoes from being too over-the-top for daytime outings.
Sartorial Summary
Top: Banana Republic (similar) // Skirt: Gap // Bag: Coach (vintage, but current version here) // Shoes: Kate Spade // Watch: Target
Note: If you’re interested in the shoes, go down a half size. I normally wear a 7 in all Kate Spade shoes, but wear a 6.5 in these.
