Freezing temperatures won’t stop me from wearing spring accessories. I’ve missed this little insect pin from last year’s Tony Duquette for Coach collection.

Insects give me the heebie jeebies. Sure, I’ll tolerate the cute bugs*, but honestly, I’m thankful that the cat finds pleasure in attacking - and eating - any creepy crawler that wanders inside. It’d be an entirely different story if the creatures were as gorgeous as this Tony Duquette for Coach stick pin. Collecting bejeweled bugs is as close to entomology as I care to get.

*Cute bugs include butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, caterpillars … and that’s about it.

The limited edition Tony Duquette for Coach collection is an absolute dream for lovers of estate jewelry: statement jewels with an air of old Hollywood glamour. My favorites are the insect stick pins at a reasonable $58 each. (In fact, I’ve just placed an order for the beetle pin.)
