I’ve been a bit preoccupied with this Ali Ro dress ($318) since I saw it on Gal Meets Glam earlier this week (that back cut out…swoon!). I definitely can’t justify the price tag given that I bought a car this month, so I’d be perfectly happy with this BB Dakota version for less than $40.View comments)
Juicy Couture clutches, $39.99 each
I adore photo prints paired with stark basics (as you can see here), but I don’t think the trend is worth a serious investment. These Juicy Couture clutches have recently been reduced to a wallet-friendly $40. Which would you choose? A serene ocean print or beachy palm trees?
(I was a bit wary that the description indicates there’s a logo on the back of the clutch, but they don’t show a photo. You can see it on the back of clutch here at Shopbop.)(View comments)
Pairing jade with black is one of my favorite color combinations. Add in a bit of mint and it’s even prettier, especially at a price point of just $25. This necklace will look lovely with summer’s palm prints.(View comments)
Madewell kerchief, $18.50
Okay, so maybe I’m drawn to this because I loved Stella McCartney’s citrus print a few years ago or maybe I’m just antsy to receive my banana-print tank (featured here). Either way, I have a serious crush on this Madewell kerchief with its bright array of produce.(View comments)
Ruche dress, $48.99
Look poised and polished in this easy-to-wear print dress. I have a hard time not introducing color into a black and white ensemble, so I’d add cobalt sandals. Perhaps this pair?
Congratulations to Andrea D. for winning the NOVICA giveaway! And a huge thanks to everyone for entering and continuing to support this blog! There’s another giveaway coming up that you won’t want to miss.(View comments)
LOFT dress, $47.70
(use code LOVEMOM to take 40% off the original price of $79.50)
This shift dress has a lot going for it: pockets (!), a bias-cut inset that creates flattering lines, and it comes in saturated hues of violet or navy. It’s under $50 with the current promotion, which is a steal for a dress that goes from the workweek to the weekend with ease.

Zara clutch, $35.90
Contrary to popular advice, I don’t mind investing in a trendy statement piece when it’s something so perfect for my closet that a cheaper alternative just won’t do. My standout was a YSL arty ring long before Yves was dropped from the name. $195 was a lot to pay for a metal and glass cocktail ring (now it’s $290), but it was “the one” and I still wear it regularly. A metallic clutch (or a lucite one, for that matter) is not that type of purchase for me. I’d rather experiment with this budget-friendly Zara version.View comments)
Rampage bow sandals, $24.99
I promised myself that I wouldn’t post another pair of sandals for this week’s Friday Find Under $50, but I couldn’t pass up these pretty bow sandals that look like the Kate Spade pair I yearned for years ago. I’m debating between mint and red. Which color do you fancy?
You can find the sandals at a few retailers, but Belk (linked above) is the cheapest. Amazon also has a large selection of available sizes.
Congratulations to the winners of the JewelMint giveaway: Dianne H., Chelsea T., and Franziska H.! I’ll send you all an email shortly. Thank you to everyone for entering. Your support helps make these giveaways possible - and there’s another on the way!(View comments)
