We’ve been talking about a road trip to Asheville, North Carolina this fall, so you can imagine my delight to discover that my latest jewelry crush is from the southern city. The jewelry from the Mary Frances Flowers collection takes inspiration from the natural world. Many pieces are cast from organic items with a build-up wax technique (learn more about the process here), which allows Mary Frances to create beautifully detailed jewelry from otherwise overlooked items in nature like porcupine quills and birch bark. (After perusing her collection, you’ll never look at the items you find hiking or beach-combing the same again!) Her latest collection, inspired by this year’s Pantone colors, retains that organic beauty with stone cabochons in rose quartz, blue lace agate, and white howlite.
