When I first put on this coat, Dave immediately demanded that Siri play “Witchy Woman.” I get it. Dramatic bell sleeves on a noir coat can conjure up visions of spellbinding sorceresses. However, I think it looks more like a playful topper for a cocktail dress when paired with a major piece of jewelry and less like an eight-month-early Halloween costume! Although, if it can double as both, well, that’s a win in my book! Even though the sleeve detail didn’t get quite the reaction I expected, I’m not shying away from the trend for spring. I think it’s a fun way to update an otherwise boring silhouette and I especially love it on floral blouses like this one and this one.
Make Me Chic coat (c/o) | Calvin Klein tights | Kate Spade shoes | Lele Sadoughi necklace (also love this one) | Diane von Furstenberg clutch (available in a sparkly black leather, pewter, and granite) | Julie Vos ring (c/o) | Monica Vinader ring (similar) | Hermes bracelet | Karen Walker sunglasses (50% off right now)
It’s totally a little witchy and definitely high drama and I love it!

Wow falls short, you are looking fab.u.lous Jessica !!!
I think you look amazing in this!!! One of my favorites of yours of all time (and that’s saying a lot, I’ve been following you forever!)
Aww, thanks, Fran! It’s a bit out of my comfort zone, but I really loved how the photos turned out! Apparently I’ll need to wear dramatic sleeves more often! xoxo
I don’t think you look costumey in that coat in the least, and I love a dramatic sleeve. Of course I’m not a guy though!
