JCrewBlazer-1

[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]T[/dropcap]here are so many women who love J.Crew’s Schoolboy blazer, but I could never get on board with the shrunken style. Paired with ankle-length pants, I felt like an adolescent sprouting out of her clothes. I had considered springing for a more traditional cut, but that seemed too stodgy for my style. (Such a Goldilocks moment, huh?) Enter the brand’s Regent blazer, which is juuust right. It has feminine tailoring with crisp lines and a modern standing collar (accentuated by a forest green inset in the case of the heather carbon version). I wore it to our annual business expo with a knee-length black dress similar to this one, but it transitions to weekend wear with a short, flirty frock.

I’m with you! I have yet to invest in the J.Crew blazer either. I much prefer a style like you’re wearing with more feminine touches. Looks great on you! Excellent choice! XO

i LOVE that blazer on you! I really love my schoolboy blazers when I can wear them with jeans, but I agree, when they are worn with cropped dress pants, everything looks off. I barely get to wear mine now that I can’t wear jeans often 🙁 I’ll have to keep an eye on that blazer though because it really is gorgeous and looks great on you!

The collar is so striking and the blazer looks so well made. Of course I’m a school boy girl myself, but it barely looks shrunken on me. Love how you’ve made layered statement necklaces so effortless.
