A few weeks ago, Bijuju sent over a care package of baubles and clutches—two of my favorite things! I’ve already worn a necklace here, but I had to dedicate a post to one of the standout pieces from the gift: these earrings.

First off, they’re $16. (I know!) And while they’re not exactly understated at 1.4” long, the soft grey hue keeps them professional enough for the work week. (Fortunately I don’t have to adhere to a humdrum dress code, but I’m sure some of you do.)

Without getting too lovey, dovey about the brand, go ahead and give the site a perusal. There are hordes of budget-friendly gems for the holidays—for yourself or to tuck into the stocking of a lucky recipient.

Loving Lately

Lately, I’m loving:

This DVF clutch from Loehmann’s that came to $55 after shipping. It’s a shame that my new iPhone (in gold!) doesn’t fit inside. Pretty > Impractical
A holiday sweater. We’re going to the Twin Cities the weekend of December 14th for a handful of birthday celebrations. We’re all expected to wear holiday sweaters, but I just can’t spend money on an ugly version. (I’m such a party pooper!) I’ll wear a tartan sweater with a light-up necklace and earrings instead.
Eric Stonestreet’s eggnog shake as described in the latest issue of Bon Appetit: eggnog, peppermint ice cream and rum blended together. Happy holidays, indeed.

Bauble of the Week

I included this Tiffany ring in Thursday’s “Currently Coveting” post, but its Art Deco design and engraved daisy pattern deserve the spotlight this week—and a place in my jewelry box. I’ve been gazing dreamily at this ring everyday for well over a week. Even though I don’t think I’ll find a little blue box under the Christmas tree, it’s a mighty fine contender for my 2014 tax return splurge.
