Saturdays are for playing favorites and, for me, that usually means turning to the classics. Nothing feels more effortless than a striped sweater and a pair of cropped pants (with plenty of stretch!). I actually received the sweater from Garnet Hill last week and it’s already one of my favorite pieces. It’s unbelievably soft and didn’t lose its shape through the course of the day. (I would have worn it again on Sunday if we weren’t getting together with the same people!)
I’ll admit that I didn’t know much about Garnet Hill prior to receiving my sweater. The brand was established in 1976 and was known for introducing high-quality flannel sheets to the marketplace through its mail-order catalog. Even though its product offerings have expanded drastically (Lilly Pulitzer bedding, anyone?), Garnet Hill still prides itself on offering products with fine natural fibers. This cashmere sweater is no different and can I just point out that the stripes match up on the side seams? You know that’s basically the universal sign of good quality. 😉

Super classy and cute black and white outfit. I love the pops of red you added. My favorite combination!
I tend to forget about Garnet Hill until one of their catalogs lands in my mailbox. Some of their clothes seem like a better fit for my (very well-dressed!) mom, but there are definitely some gems. I’ve found they are a good source for cute but very walkable and comfy shoes (so important when I lived in NYC!).
Ooh, that sweater looks soooo soft!! I’ll have to check out their stuff, sounds great! 😀

ahhhh, i love that sweater! It’s always nice when you can add such a high quality piece to your closet. And YES YES YES to a “how she wore it” with those shoes!

I agree, you can never go wrong with stripes! And your choice of items to pair it with are on-point. Love the easy and laidback feel to the look but at the same time it is classy chic!
Found you in one of the fashion blogs I frequent and thought I’d give you a visit. If you have a sec, I’d like you to check out the latest on my blog: http://www.fashchronicles.blogspot.com
This is so darling, I would this exact same outfit. I gave up on the idea of getting a white purse and you are making me reconsider it is so pretty. Love that sweater and of course the flats.
Very sophisticated. You look great and slim. Keep up the good work
You look amazing, lady! You’re making me want a Rebecca Minkoff bag (and Ferragamo flats, let’s be honest) even more!

This look is evergreen.. and you elevate it with a touch of red too! Brilliant! Thanks for dropping by my page, you’ve got yourself a new friend on BLoving and Instagram!
That is a beautiful sweater, and who can say no to cashmere, ever? I still don’t know how you manage to wear cropped pants and flats, but maybe it’s just me who’s fingers and toes turn to numb blocks of ice the moment I step outside these days.

To be fair, it was like 33 degrees out on Saturday (a rare treat after so many subzero days!).
