We’re back from our mini getaway to Washington, D.C.! As always, the trip felt too short, but we still managed to pack in a lot of sightseeing: the National Building Museum, the National Museum of Natural History, the National Gallery of Art, shopping in Georgetown, a Nationals baseball game, the Supreme Court, the National Zoo, Embassy Row (our hotel was in the thick of it), and the Library of Congress. Whew! The Metro was undergoing maintenance, which led to long delays on many of the lines. We ended up walking most places (or taking an Uber when the heat and humidity were making us delirious), so let’s just say I’m looking forward to a day at the office to let my feet recover!

Such a fun exploring outfit! I love that dress!
I really need to get to DC, especially since I have a friend going to law school there. Visiting him would be the perfect excuse!

What a perfect look for traversing the city — sounds like you had a jam packed weekend and a lot of fun! That dress is definitely a favorite of mine.

you look so cute and sorry for all the traffic but DC is so pretty.

Wow. You look awesome, you’ve lost some lbs
Haha, I wish that were the case! Apparently I’m just becoming better at working my angles.
😉
I’ve never been to DC but I’ve always wanted to go. It sounds like a busy and fun trip! Love that dress–it’s a fun combo paired with the sneakers!
If you ever book a trip, let me know! I have tons of recommendations. We’ve stayed at hotels in various parts of the city and outskirts too. The best part is that D.C. can be very affordable, if you do it right. All of the Smithsonians are free!
I definitely will! My husband and I eventually want to visit all the ballparks so DC is on the list. It may take us a while but we’ll get there eventually!! Thanks Jessica 🙂
the perfect end of summer outfit! Hope you’re having fun!!
