
Our last bedroom update was over a year ago in April 2024 when we swapped out our inexpensive Target lamps for an heirloom quality set. Earlier this summer we made another improvement by adding curtain rods and blackout curtains to block the light that sneaks in around the edges of the roller shades. I went with a warmer shade than what I had in our mockup:

I think beige is a better complement to the colors in the space than grey would be.
And for those who may be new, here are a couple of snapshots we took during our home inspection to give you an idea of what we were starting with:

It’s come a long way, and it’s nice to have a visual reminder of that when it feels like we haven’t done much in our home recently.
