This was the first weekend I could go without crutches and it was amazing. I didn’t need as much clearance to maneuver. I could actually walk up and down stairs instead of kneeling or scooting on my butt. My arms weren’t unbelievably sore. My posture was better. I actually went in the pool! I just have one more week left of the boot until I’m stuck in sneakers for another four weeks. The doctor had first recommended Dansko clogs or Birkenstocks that cover the entire foot. Mercifully, she suggested sneakers after my horrified stare. Sneakers aren’t really my thing, but I ordered a pair of black Pumas to wear with casual dresses and black and white work ensembles. (Be careful if you order them on Amazon. I had searched for “Women’s Suede Puma” and the first search result was actually for the men’s version. I was surprised to see such a large size 7 arrive last week before I realized my mistake!)
Dress: Pim + Larkin (old, also ordered this and this to wear with sneakers) | Shoes: Puma | Rings: Lulu Frost, c/o Vrai & Oro | Necklace: Lee Renee | Bracelet: Hermes | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff c/o Shopbop | Sunglasses: Karen Walker c/o Shopbop
I saw these dresses at Loft and they are so cute, you look adorable. yay for no crutches.

Woohoo for ditching the crutches! And at least the Puma’s look cool! What if you had to wear orthopedic sneakers….THE HORROR! Ha ha 🙂

I think sneakers have gotten a lot cooler in recent years. I am loving all of your accessories and happy to hear that you’ll be out of the boot soon as well!
This is awesome news! You’re almost there…hang in there. You look cute, even with the boot 😉
Yayyy, no crutches! That’s awesome news. I love this dress so much; it works so well with those sneakers. Can’t go wrong with black & white!
Happy to see you are on the mend, and looking adorable! I would have given the doctor the same horrified look about the footwear options… who knew the long term fashion repercussions of an injured foot?
