Where to find stylish face masks

Stylish Face Mask Roundup Women

I never would have expected that I’d be doing a resource roundup for stylish face masks, but here we are. After weeks of scrounging for masks and doing DIY versions out of scarves, brands are now helping us out and manufacturing [non-medical-grade] face masks that are more stylish than our cobbled-together alternatives to get us through the foreseeable future. I just placed an order for a set of these from Madewell in “angel blue” and I’m going to treat myself to a luxe version from Eugenia Kim. It’s paramount that you stay on top of cleaning your face masks and I love this detergent for hand-washing them.

I’ll continue to add to this list as I come across stylish masks over the next few weeks!

Clare V. – I love these whimsical masks (pictured above) with the brand’s signature lip print.

Madewell – Madewell has three-packs for $20 made from their signature gingham and plaid fabrics.

Vida – Available in nine colors, this mask comes with a multi-layer PM2.5 filter and an opening to replace it.

Christine Alcalay – With 16 patterns to choose from, you’ll find something to work with your outfit here.

Citizens of Humanity – For all of you denim lovers, Citizens of Humanity has five-packs of masks for $25 in a variety of washes.

Eugenia Kim – These are the ultimate “pandemic, but make it fashion” masks. I just ordered the leopard-print one.

Lele Sadoughi – This accessory queen has masks available for pre-order that feature her brand’s eye-catching embellished fabrics.

Nili Loton – If your aesthetic is a bit more low key, how about this cute striped number?

Cece DuPraz – For whimsical masks, look no further! The masks are embellished with lips, mustaches, and chill pills.

Amandi – Available at Anthropologie, these are the prettiest pastel plaids for spring.

Sid & Ann Mashburn – Available in a selection of pinstripes and Liberty fabrics.

JCRT x Stubbs & Wootton – Screw COVID-19, indeed!

Review | VIDA Scarves

January-Outfit-2v3

Last week, I wore a gorgeous scarf by VIDA, a new brand that pairs independent artists with textile manufacturers in Delhi, India and Pakistan. It’s also one of the latest socially responsible companies to hit the scene, offering literacy programs to its production team. The San Francisco startup was founded by Umaimah Mendhro after she became frustrated with disposable fashion, luxury goods priced only for the elite, and an industry that left textile workers struggling to make ends meet. And with that, VIDA was born.

As you’d expect from Umaimah’s philosophy, the scarves are an affordable luxury. Modal scarves are $40, modal-cashmere blends are $75, and silk scarves are $95. You can also save 20% on your first order by signing up for their emails on the homepage.

I received the “Found in a City” scarf, designed by Japanese sisters Midori and Nanako. The lightweight scarf is 10% cashmere and 90% modal, making it incredibly soft. It’s been perfect for the warm spell we’ve been experiencing. I’m also loving the Lilly Pulitzer-esque brights of the “L’Escala” scarf and the Burmese temples on the “Project Rare” scarf. Browse the entire collection, including VIDA’s silk tops, online here.

Disclosure: I received a scarf from VIDA for review and posting purposes. This does not affect my opinion of the brand.

[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]T[/dropcap]ick tock! Today is the official release of Tory Burch’s new watch collection. There’s a style to suit every personality from The Tory for the sporty types, The Buddy for the classic ladies (my favorite), and The Izzie for the bold beauties. Browse all of the Swiss timepieces here. (You’ll undoubtedly fall in love with the limited edition Robinson Watch. It’s an investment piece, certainly, but with the lapis inlay it’s an accessory to be cherished forever.)

In the Details

March 10, 2014 by jessica Leave a Comment

I knew Jennifer of Frippery Vintage would find incredible pieces when she went globetrotting to Italy in search of treasures for her shop, but I didn’t expect her to find the most jaw dropping vintage cocktail ring I’ve ever seen. Two Instagram photos later (here and here), I knew I had to add the gobstopper-size bauble to my collection. It’s everything I love about vintage costume jewelry: brightly colored, oversize, and I won’t see it on someone else. (But if I do spot a lookalike, I’ll know the owner has excellent taste.)

Featured: Ann Taylor jacket (also love this striped blazer) // J.Crew sweater // Banana Republic pants // DVF purse (same style in snakeprint) // vintage ring // Essie’s “Muchi, Muchi” polish

14 Must-Have Holiday Handbags

November 15, 2013 by jessica Leave a Comment

Last week, a friend asked for help pinpointing a holiday clutch. (Why are clutches always the hardest accessory to find in a pinch?) I spent hours sifting through party purses to find the brightest, shiniest and wittiest bags for the holidays. The Ted Baker clutch is my favorite, but it seems the blue version is now sold out. I could happily settle with the rose gold version. I’m also smitten with Kotur’s surrealist clutch.*

1. Ted Baker, $225 // 2. ASOS, $38 // 3. Modcloth, $45 // 4. Kate Landry, $60 // 5. ASOS, $20 // 6. DVF, $345 // 7. Kotur, $495 // 8. La Regale, $16 // 9. Tory Burch, $595 // 10. Juicy Couture, $60 // 11. Kate Spade, $328 // 12. La Regale, $41 // 13. Nina, $98 // 14. Lulu Guinness, $820

*I’m actually planning a spring event at a gallery that coincides with a surrealism exhibit. How perfect would this clutch be? Or this one?

I’m challenging myself to get through a backlog I’m challenging myself to get through a backlog of travel photos before we book our next trip. First up, photos of the gothic York Minster. I’m not religious in the slightest but I can’t resist stunning architecture and the opportunity to climb hundreds of cathedral stairs for a city view. This one only had a single rest stop about halfway up the flight of 275 steps for a closeup view of the flying buttresses — and a waiver you had to sign before your ascent to promise you’re healthy enough to make it.
