As you can see above, I’m smitten with the J.Crew x Net-a-Porter collaboration. This striped turtleneck is my favorite.
You may recall that I featured this mini crossbody bag last week. Normally, I get wrapped up with the idea of a new item, pin it to my private “Buy” Pinterest board, post about it on the blog, and then move on. Not the case here. I couldn’t stop thinking about the pint-sized bag emblazoned with Diane von Furstenberg’s signature lip print. The Nordstrom Rack find barely holds more than a phone, card case, and lipstick, but what more do you really need for an evening out? Better yet, the crossbody strap frees you from searching for bag hooks under the bar.
The background the bag is sitting on is a LOFT skirt from earlier this year, but this Tory Burch one is remarkably similar. You can also shop more of DVF’s iconic kisses below.
Truth be told, I bought this DVF dress July and hadn’t worn it until our trip to Florida last month. I absolutely adore the Lisa Frank-meets-Flintstones print, but it felt a little too bold for Wisconsin. Screw that, though. Now that it has had its maiden voyage, I want to wear it all the time … with one minor alteration. The wrap skirt flutters up at the slightest breeze and I need to have it sewn shut (or at least have my tailor put in a couple of snaps). I actually had to use my tote to avoid any embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions!
On another note, I’m obsessed with this mother of pearl tusk pendant from Rachelle of Pink Sole. It’s one of the most popular pieces in her Etsy shop. Seriously, I have the most talented friends.

[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]S[/dropcap]ometimes I forget that luxury brands have gift ideas for those on a budget and DVF is no different. There are plenty of accessories and handbags that come in under the $200 mark and many of the cutest items come in at under $100. I, for one, would be delighted to find the little travel jewelry box with DVF’s signature lip print under the tree.
I haven’t shopped at Express since college when I needed a last-minute sparkly top for barhopping. So, you can imagine my surprise when I found the perfect little party dress at the retailer on sale for around $70. The metallic navy material is gorgeous and you know I’m a sucker for a full skirt. With a tuxedo jacket, it’s perfect for the upcoming cocktail awards reception I’m planning at work.
