Pearls are back in full force for spring ’22 with everything from organic baroque pearls to traditional spheres set in non-traditional ways. I pre-ordered these drop earrings, which are very “Girl with a Pearl Earring,” from designer Chan Luu. I have another pair of the designer’s pearl earrings (seen here) that are one my most worn pairs and I’m confident the new pair will get as much love. And while I tend to go for more classic designs, I appreciate that some of you like more playful looks, so there’s some of that here too!

I already purchased a pair of double pearl earrings (buy them on eBay for around $6) and a pearl collar, yet I still don’t see my obsession with pearl jewelry ending anytime soon. If this season’s modern take on pearl jewelry isn’t for you, layering a traditional pearl ring with other gemstones can still update your look. The solitaire rings from Manhattan Pearls are reasonably priced at $95 for the sterling silver version and $125 for 18 karat gold vermeil. (Personally, think the gold one would look stunning layered atop Karen Hsiang’s crevice ring.)
