Slip on your holiday shoes and have a very merry Christmas!
(View comments)When we went to Chicago earlier this month, we stopped at the Christkindlmarket where I spent entirely too much money on German Christmas ornaments. They’re all beautiful, but this pink pine cone is my favorite.
(View comments)Affixing letter decals to a vintage mirror is an elegant way to display the evening’s bar menu. A dash of green garland and red cocktails serve as the inspiration for a festive ensemble in traditional Christmas colors.

What are your favorite holiday tunes?
(View comments)Four things contribute to a satisfying holiday season: gatherings of loved ones, gobs of glittery ornaments, glasses filled with holiday spirits, and, of course, a fabulous frock is a must! The new-to-me site, MissesDressy, has cocktail dresses in every shape and sequin color imaginable (and prom dresses to suggest to the younger ladies this spring).
I’m one click away from ordering those glamorous cocktail picks. They’ll look divine on the bar cart I have yet to acquire.

The best things come in small packages and many times they come tucked into a Christmas stocking. When I was growing up, Santa would fill my stocking with holiday candies on Christmas Eve, but there was always a little gift hidden beneath the sweets. Check out my guest post on La vie … J’aime to see what I’d love to find in my stocking this year.
Weekend Snapshots:

- spangled nail polish that looks like confetti
