We’ve been toying with the idea of going to Europe next fall, which has me searching for and pinning all sorts of travel-related images. Our short list of possible destinations includes Belgium, Istanbul and Prague, but this image of snowy Paris has me yearning to go to France.
1. ASOS earrings, $44.50 // 2. J.Crew sweater, $98 // 3. Essie nail polish in Parka Perfect, $8.50 // 4. Repetto flats, $285 // 5. ASOS ring, $14 // 6. Bauble Bar ring, $32 // 7. Tibi pants, $214
Serene layers of blue, silver and cream unify a look inspired by the pool, but textures and patterns keep it from being boring. Of course, a couple of gorgeous rings doesn’t hurt. They’re from The Bradford Exchange, a resource for collectibles with a lovely selection of gems. (I’d stack the rings on my index finger to keep the look modern.)

I purchased this quirky banana-print top moments after featuring it in last week’s “Color Crush.” It’s scheduled to ship at the beginning of June, but I’m already dreaming of ways to wear it that are inspired by colorful Palm Beach.

*I’ve said it before, but eBay is a stellar source for vintage straw clutches. This one is similar to the clutch I found earlier this year.
Between the wedding venues, cocktail dresses, cake samples and late-night Pinterest inspiration, nuptials are certainly stressful for the bride-to-be. But once invitations start landing in mailboxes, the stress is passed along to friends who are now standing in front of their closets wondering what to wear.
Buying a new frock for each event isn’t realistic for most of us. It’s a much more modern – and fiscally responsible – approach to choose one beautiful, versatile vintage dress. I’m fond of this brocade stunner from J.Crew that goes from destination wedding to formal affair with ease.
For the beach: Pair the dress with a raffia clutch (you could splurge on the Anya Hindmarch version or go with a ultra-affordable vintage one on eBay), a bold boho necklace and flat metallic sandals.
For a formal affair: Refined shapes in punchy colors keep your look for being too stuffy. Try a pair of pumps in a matching color, introduce a contrasting color with your clutch, and top it off with dainty earrings and a cocktail ring.
