I can’t get enough of the Florence Broadhurst patterned splashed across Kate Spade’s spring collection – and I’m determined to pick up something with the design. I love the shoes (and the pencil set!), but the cocktail plates are quickly becoming one of my favorite items.

Ladylike minimalism and modern color blocking make this pair of ZARA sandals perfect for spring.

Insects give me the heebie jeebies. Sure, I’ll tolerate the cute bugs*, but honestly, I’m thankful that the cat finds pleasure in attacking – and eating – any creepy crawler that wanders inside. It’d be an entirely different story if the creatures were as gorgeous as this Tony Duquette for Coach stick pin. Collecting bejeweled bugs is as close to entomology as I care to get.

*Cute bugs include butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, caterpillars … and that’s about it.

I’ve been looking for a nail color that was equal parts peach and tangerine (which, coincidentally, would be a lovely cocktail combination: “the peach-erine-tini”). While Chanel polish is a splurge, “June” is exactly what I hoped for – and the color I plan to wear all spring.
