Day Trip: Bay Beach Amusement Park
Last weekend’s wedding was only a half hour from Green Bay’s $1 carnival rides at Bay Beach Amusement Park. Since we were already that far north, we headed over to the lakeside city and spent a few hours at the park, followed by lunch at Titletown Brewing Co. before heading back to Madison.

This classic look has been pinned to my style board for months. Even though silver fox fur and pink frocks don’t fit in my day-to-day wardrobe, the photo does inspire an early fall outfit that would.

Outfitted
When my cousin’s wedding invitation landed in my mailbox, I did what most of us do: proclaim (in a closet full of clothes) that I had absolutely nothing to wear. I’m quite thankful for my lack of party-perfect dresses, otherwise I wouldn’t have purchased this dress at J.Crew. The ultra versatile frock has already become one of my favorites.

Weekend Snapshots
- Played hooky on Thursday afternoon and spent a few hours by the pool
- Celebrated the “I dos” of my cousin and his beautiful bride
- Danced in a pair of sparkly heels – and tried to polka for the first time
- Stopped at Green Bay’s Bay Beach Amusement Park to ride the world’s fourth oldest wooden roller coaster and, of course, the ferris wheel
- Added a couple of lovely items to my wardrobe: this ASOS skirt and a top c/o Sway Chic
