This clutch is one of my favorite budget finds in a very long time. The bamboo bag is a reproduction of a classic Japanese picnic basket. It comes in two sizes: small for $35 and large for $45. There’s also free shipping.
I’m also surprised to see this ink-print dress make it to the sale section with most sizes still available. Midi dresses are terribly unflattering on me, but I wouldn’t mind the cost of having it hemmed since the dress is only $49.50.

I’m so happy that it’s finally the weekend! Dave and I are hitting the road bright and early this morning for a weekend in Louisville. We’re stopping in Indianapolis on the way down to pick up bottles of Upland Brewing Co.’s sour release and then, well, the weekend is our oyster. I’m anticipating a relaxing happy hour at Garage Bar, a Saturday morning coffee run to Please & Thank You, and stocking up of bourbon balls from Schimpff’s Confectionery. Follow along on Snapchat! I came across the designer dupe online this morning and, while I’m normally not a proponent of a knockoff, I’m a huge fan of this bag, especially because it’s made of leather. Sure, there have been other Chloé lookalikes for even less, but I just can’t get on board with another faux leather bag. I never wear them. This, I’d wear.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is officially open to the public! In yesterday’s post, I shared my favorite not-so-budget-friendly pieces, but there is one item under $55 that I’m smitten with: this striped sweater dress. It looks like such a cozy piece for a transatlantic flight or a weekend road trip. Pair it with comfortable sneakers and a tote that doubles as an overnight bag.

Happy Friday, ladies! This is the first weekend I can go without crutches and I couldn’t be more excited to move around a bit easier. I even went in the pool yesterday! I purchased the cover-up in today’s post (you can see it in yesterday’s Instagram). It’s a steal at $18 when you take 60% off the sale price. It’s final sale, so keep that in mind when ordering. As with many of J.Crew’s cover-ups, I found this one ran large. (It was originally available in a XXS as well, which is usually a red flag to order a size down.) I went with a size small. It’s a little snug in the bust if I keep it buttoned up, but otherwise a great fit.
