And if that’s not a good reason to wear sky-high heels, I don’t know what is.
Behind the Baubles: Lele Sadoughi
I’m excited to share the first installment of “Behind the Baubles!” This monthly feature will give you insight into the designers behind your favorite jewelry brands and the collections that should be on your radar.
This month, I’d like to introduce you to one of my favorite designers: Lele Sadoughi. Before branching out on her own, Lele gained acclaim by launching J.Crew’s jewelry line back in 2006 and worked with the retailer for five years. Her first independent collection, heavily inspired by ancient Egypt, has already been featured in the nation’s top fashion magazines.

Snapshots
Valentine’s Day is a fun excuse to go over the top with loving gestures, eat as many mini cupcakes as possible, and wear red shoes. Dave surprised me with a Swarovski trinket box. It’s such a glamorous way to store delicate jewelry. I gave him this cordovan money clip wallet (without the logo) that’s handmade in Milwaukee and lobster-print boxers to match my pajama pants. Matching pjs is definitely a sign of true love.
There are more moments from yesterday on Instagram.
Currently Coveting
Right now, I’m coveting:
- Erin Fetherston’s lipstick prints
- The most wonderful lobster brooch
- Blue quartz stud earrings (but if you prefer a different stone, there are 12 more to choose from)
- A sweater that’s destined to become a weekend staple
- A welcoming piece of art for my office
- This refreshing lemon grass candle
- A collaboration I can get behind: Kate Spade paired up with The Lake & Stars for a lingerie collection (my favorites are the bra and tap pant)
And, of course, I’m coveting a Valentine’s Day spent with Dave.
