Umbrella drinks were nowhere to be found in Fort Lauderdale last year. Sure, I could order a tropical cocktail, but the coveted embellishment was missing. Not one to be disappointed twice, I already have a bag full of cocktail umbrellas to slip into my purse for happy hour – and plans for this ring to adorn my finger every sip of the way.

After a lazy Sunday together, we decided to exchange Valentine gifts early instead of waiting another two days. We celebrated again last night with little indulgences: a bottle of champagne, dinner at my guilty-pleasure restaurant, a sit-com lineup and conversation hearts.

I can’t get enough of the Florence Broadhurst patterned splashed across Kate Spade’s spring collection – and I’m determined to pick up something with the design. I love the shoes (and the pencil set!), but the cocktail plates are quickly becoming one of my favorite items.
