WEAR
Pantone just announced the sophisticated color of the year for 2015.

SHOP
It’s a little too impractical to wear these d’orsay flats now, but they’ll be on repeat come spring. A metal plate ankle strap adds a touch of sophistication.

[spacer]

BAKE
Salted caramel turtle thumbprint cookies look divine.

[spacer]

ADMIRE
I’m lusting after every look in Tory Burch’s mod pre-fall collection. You have to click through to see the jewelry, especially the oversize pendants.

[spacer]

LEARN
Delve into Cartier’s history in this coffee table tome. (I received a review copy and I’ll share more details next week.)

[spacer]

READ
Or look at pictures, rather, of falling cats contorting their bodies to land safely. The photos were used to train astronauts in the ’60s.

REMINDER
Enter to win jewelry from Gerard Yosca’s latest collection.

SAVE
If you haven’t recorded all of your family’s cherished recipes, now’s the time. Pick a pretty recipe box and start transcribing those stained recipe cards. (It’s also a thoughtful gift for the newlyweds in your family.)

[spacer]

DECORATE
I can’t get over how much I love the cat garland I found online via a UK retailer. Don’t fret. I found it here too.

[spacer]

WEAR
This pint-size fashionista is on point. Nothing is better than mint and navy.

[spacer]

SNOOZE
Catch your ZZZs in a set of zebra-print pajamas.

[spacer]

SHOP
Don’t miss out on Gray Malin’s incredible sale this weekend. Take 30% off prints sitewide and apply that discount to framing. I purchased this print for my birthday last May.

SIP
Peppermint. White. Russian. OMG.

[dropcap custom_class=”normal”]I[/dropcap] come across so many noteworthy things throughout the week that don’t really fit in with my regular content. Instead of letting those links go to waste, I thought I’d share them with you in a weekend roundup of things to read, see, and do. I hope you’ll also join in and share your must-sees in the comment section!

REMINISCE
I love how this couple transformed an old R.V. into a cozy vintage escape.

[spacer]

BAKE
The holiday season is in full swing and afternoons spent baking are on the horizon. I’m planning to try these peppermint crinkle cookies this year.

[spacer]

PLAY
Sign up for ten days of holiday gifts from the creators of America’s favorite party game for horrible people.

[spacer]

WEAR
It’s finally time to break out the cozy woolens. I’m fond of this cashmere hat with an oversize fur pompom.

[spacer]

VISIT
I let the holidays fly by last year without a trip down to Chicago for the annual Christkindlmarket. I’m not making that same mistake this year.

[spacer]

SIP
I picked up a crate of Mandarin oranges the other day and I don’t think I’ll be able to get through all of them before they spoil. I’ll be juicing some of the leftovers to make this vodka spritzer.

I’m challenging myself to get through a backlog I’m challenging myself to get through a backlog of travel photos before we book our next trip. First up, photos of the gothic York Minster. I’m not religious in the slightest but I can’t resist stunning architecture and the opportunity to climb hundreds of cathedral stairs for a city view. This one only had a single rest stop about halfway up the flight of 275 steps for a closeup view of the flying buttresses — and a waiver you had to sign before your ascent to promise you’re healthy enough to make it.

While it claims to be the most haunted place in Europe and is dubbed the city of a thousand ghosts, we only encountered the wire-mesh sculptures of Ghosts in the Gardens (@the_york_bid) and the family of souvenir ghosts I brought home from @yorkghostmerchants.
