I’ve been a little bored with Kate Spade lately, but this layered necklace revived my love for the whimsical brand. The movement of the feathered fringe is a sophisticated take on this season’s flamingo items.

Cocktail calories add up. Here’s a skinny version of a classic favorite.

SHOP
Need a summer dress for an upcoming event? I have no doubt you’ll find one here. There are over 2,000 options under $150 to choose from. My favorites include a gingham fit-and-flare style (although I’d have it hemmed above my knees), a bright shift with a swingy back (just $64!), and an embroidered tunic dress.

Anna Jarvis is the woman credited with establishing Mother’s Day, but it wasn’t easy.

ANTICIPATE
Even though The Mindy Project was axed by Fox, there’s a good chance it will have a second life on Hulu. While that’s still up in the air, rest assured that we’ll have at least one more offering from Mindy this year: a new book to be published in September.

IN OTHER NEWS
We’re heading to Indianapolis for Memorial Day weekend. Indy has never been on my must-see list, but we’re driving down to pick up bottles of Upland Brewing Company’s sour release. Is there anything we should add to our itinerary?

Friday Five Under $55
- It’s a great time to stock up on J.Crew’s lightweight striped tees for spring. With code SALETREAT, the price is only $27.65.
- How fun is the color combination on this scarf?! It also comes in pink with orange pom poms and black with turquoise.
- It’s not always easy to find interesting jewelry at a great price point, but these understated ear jackets are gorgeous. They also come in rose gold.
- I’m itching for a pair of Soludos espadrilles this summer. Has anyone tried them? Thoughts?
- A classic faux leather crossbody bag in a wear-with-everything color.
Blowing Rocks
Jupiter, Fla. is one of my favorite places in the state mostly because of the Blowing Rocks Preserve. It’s got nothing on the jagged coastline of California, but it’s gorgeous in its own right with interesting rock formations and deep turquoise water. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I was entirely overdressed for this outing. (There’s not a lot of flexibility for midday clothing changes when you’re on vacation and away from the hotel!) That didn’t stop us from kicking off our shoes to stroll along the ocean’s edge until we were ready for lunch at Little Moir’s Food Shack. The small restaurant–with the best seafood ever–is tucked away in an unassuming strip mall. Be sure to order the signature sweet potato-crusted fish. They also have an impressive beer lineup.
While we’re on the topic of must-know info, the earrings I’m wearing are from Emma McKinstry’s summer lineup. She’s pretty much a maestro when it comes to bold enamel jewelry.

The Coveted
This week, I’m coveting:
- An inflatable swan for lazy days in the pool. (The pool we frequent is on the small side, so I won’t actually be able to get away with this.)
- This beautiful off-the-shoulder dress. Blair wore it last week and it sold out instantly. Some sizes have popped back, so be sure to add it to your wish list to receive an email notification when it’s in stock. (That’s how I snagged a size medium, which should arrive tomorrow.)
- An understated ring that isn’t short on details.
- A carefree maxi dress to pack for your next vacation. (It’s only $130!)
- A cheeky box of matches.
- Pineapple stud earrings. You know how much I love a cute pineapple motif.
- Lancome’s Shine Lover Lipstick. I can’t decide between “Effortless Pink” or “French Sourire.”
