Giveaway: Sequin Jewelry

April 29, 2013 by jessica Leave a Comment

Summer is the perfect time for a stack of carefree bangle bracelets, like this pair from Sequin. The jewelry company sent over a few items for me to try last week and I fell for these hinged bangles. I have such a small wrist that it’s hard for me to find bracelets that don’t slip off. There’s a colorful array of options to choose from (even though I’m drawn to understated white and gold) and plenty more covetable styles on their site!

Giveaway! One reader will win her own perfect pair of bangles! Just mix and match the bracelets from Sequin’s spring collection and let me know which two you’d like to own. Good luck!

Currently Coveting

Right now, I’m coveting:

  • Breezy dresses in crisp shades of green. This Tibi dress is gorgeous, but I’m also a fan of this budget-friendly version from LOFT.
  • A woven tote for the farmers’ market (it’s just $32!)
  • An elegant malachite bowl
  • Prefer to wear malachite? These sunburst earrings are lovely.
  • Palm-print pajamas
  • An unexpected noir cake stand with a dainty scalloped edge
  • Vacation-ready shorts
  • Mae Movement bracelets that help give Nepalese women a sustainable living

Weekend Snapshots

August 20, 2012 by jessica Leave a Comment

  • Found ourselves in Lake Geneva for dinner and a walk around the picturesque town
  • Wore beloved bracelets and a new pink skirt
  • Lounged with Bacon who was being particularly sweet (probably to make up for chewing my DVF iPhone case earlier that morning)

Weekend Snapshots:

  1. Strolling through the farmers’ market
  2. Borrowing Dave’s Wayfarers and stacking bracelets: Anthropologie, Banana Republic, Banana Republic Factory Store
  3. Picking up a cable knit sweater from Lands’ End Canvas during Maxwell Street Days – I can’t wait to wear it with that taffeta skirt this fall
  4. Getting a roll of film developed is way more exciting than digital photography

Top 3: Sailor Rope Bracelets

July 19, 2012 by jessica Leave a Comment

I’ve never been sailing, but it doesn’t stop me from loving all things nautical: Breton stripes, anchor motifs and sailor rope bracelets. Here are three of my favorite brands for a seafaring addition to your bracelet stack:

  • Sailormade – The Brummel Collection at Sailormade uses a brummel hook as a clasp for a sleek, refined look.
My pick: the Endeavor wrap bracelet in red, $115
  • Kiel James Patrick – An anchor clasp adds a new dimension to this traditional braided rope bracelet.
My pick: the Blakes Yacht Club bracelet in navy and white, $40
  • The Ropes of Maine – A color-blocked twist on the nautical trend with delightfully oversize hardware.
My pick: a navy and seafoam combination, $60

The bracelet is made of 10k gold and hammered to reflect the light. It comes in white, yellow, and rose gold. Best of all, it’s flexible so that it’s easy to get off and on.
